Although Saturday's beautiful weather offered an excellent day of pre-race practice and off-track fun, STQRA's final round of the 2006 Southern Challenge Series, held Sunday, October 15th at Splendora Motocross Park, became a mudslinging race to finish as it rained throughout the day. Reminded us of the 6hour in 2005 and our first national! Still, we had lots of fun! CONGRATS to Josh for his first place win!!!! and to all who braved the wet mud, especially those who were able to slide their way around the track and finish the race! We saw many unrecognizable riders coming off, laughing, who knew that simply finishing was an accomplishment in itself! What a day... and season! We were glad to a part of it, and so blessed to have shared the time and experiences with such wonderful families.
Although Dee and Michele haven't had the chance to race this year (they, too, love to do so!), for this final round we chose to feature the Manshacks. Dee and Michele's continued dedication to the STQRA is undeniable, as are the countless hours, heartaches and headaches, and the passion and love they pour into it. And Megan, that girl sure showed the boys in Open A just how tough she could be! Way to go, Megan!!! Thanks to all three of you for giving so much of yourselves so we could all enjoy 10 rounds of exciting race action and family fun in 2006!!! Thanks for all you have done for our boys, and for all of the STQRA!
